About Formosa Table

Formosa Table explains the dishes of Taiwan for people who do not read Chinese: what each one is, where it came from, how it is made and how locals eat it. Two sister sites, Fucheng Table for Tainan and Takao Table for Kaohsiung, go street by street.

Shops come from published guides such as the Michelin Guide and from our own research. We do not take payment for listings and there are no adverts.

Every entry lists its sources. Facts are checked against them, and the text is written in our own words. Shops close and change their hours, so each page says when it was last checked.

Photos come from Wikimedia Commons and other openly licensed collections. The photographer and licence are credited under each picture.
